The NCBC Publications Department Starts Its OpenAccess Program

The Publications Department at The National Catholic Bioethics Center is happy to announce the beginning of their OpenAccess initiative on the NCBC website. The NCBC is dedicated to educating our whole society about the importance and dignity of the human person and, in support of this fundamental mission, the Publications arm of the NCBC will begin offering those documents commonly requested by clients and of general interest to the public. They will be presented, free of charge, by the Publications The National Catholic Bioethics Center and the offerings will 'rotate' on occasion.

The inaugural piece for this project comes from the Spring 2009 Issue of The National Catholic Bioethics Quarterly (NCBQ). The article was written by Dr. Richard P. Fitzgibbons as well as well as Phillip M. Sutton and Dale O'Leary. It is entitled: The Psychopathology of 'Sex Reassignment' Surgery. Dr. Fitzgibbons, who is a Philadelphia area doctor, has written for the NCBQ frequently and he asked that the article be made available to the public in light of the continuous questions and concerns, both religious and civil, that surround this delicate topic.

So please, visit the OpenAccess Publications page on the NCBC website HERE; and do check back regularly to view new material!
