Dr. Di Camillo Speaks at the 2019 CMA Boot Camp

2019 CMA Boot Camp Medical Students and Residents
On June 11-12, 2019, Dr. John Di Camillo participated in the Catholic Medical Association’s Annual Medical Student and Resident Boot Camp at the University of St. Mary of the Lake in Mundelein, IL. He joined Dr. Peter Colosi and Dr. John Travaline in a discussion on the determination of death, gave a presentation on the topic of “Church Teaching on Reproductive Technologies,” and served as a panelist for a question and answer session on reproductive medicine together with Dr. Anne Nolte, Dr. Lester Ruppersberger, and Dr. Theresa Burke. During meals and social time, he chatted with students, shared his experiences and learned from theirs, answered bioethical questions, and offered counsel about challenging prudential judgments. He even proved the importance of understanding the principles that determine right from wrong by repeatedly and irremediably failing to identify anything he could legitimately bring on a camping trip (until he finally figured out how the game works—and successfully applied the principle)!
