Last night, Father Tad presented at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Eagle River, Alaska to a group of about 75 people. His talk was entitled: "The Beauty of the Church's Teachings on Conception: Natural Family Planning and Contraception + a Few Words About Difficult Pregnancies." He spoke about the various damaging effects that the widespread acceptance of the Pill and birth control in general have had on the culture. He addressed the difference between Fertility Awareness-Based Methods and contraception, looking at the inner meaning of marital sexuality in terms of the pivotal 1968 document Humanae Vitae in which Pope Paul VI describes: "the inseparable connection, willed by God and unable to be broken by man on his own initiative, between the two meanings of the conjugal act: the unitive meaning and the procreative meaning."
