Father Tad Speaks on COVID at St. Raymond of Peñafort in Springfield, VA

Father Tad spoke to a full house (socially-distanced in the church hall) about "Vaccines, Ventilators and the Ethics of COVID-19" on September 19th at St. Raymond of Peñafort Catholic Church in Springfield, VA. Father De Celles, the pastor, introduced Father Tad, who then spoke and took questions for more than 90 minutes.

He discussed the phenomenon of the COVID-19 pandemic, looking at its causes, the way it spreads, and the implications for certain ethical questions that arise as we seek to respond appropriately to the crisis. He addressed the ethical concerns around allocating limited resources like ventilators, and looked at issues related to vaccinations, including concerns about vaccines that are manufactured by reliance on cells derived from direct abortions. He also discussed categories of exemptions and questions relating to vaccine mandates.
